Installing Truma/Carver heater with underfloor air intake

I'm wanting to upgrade the heating system in my demountable as currently it only has a catalytic gas heater. There's lots of secondhand Truma and Carver caravan heaters for sale on such places as eBay, but most of them have underfloor air intakes; just wondering if anyone has worked out a way of installing one of these in a demountable where you can't just cut a hole in the floor and fit it, maybe by fitting an air duct or something similar? Trying to avoid a noisy Propex or similar type unit.

Any ideas gratefully received

I understand why you'd want to avoid fitting a Propex heater but they do have the advantage of being able to be fitted on their side and thus vent and intake through a side wall. That said I fitted one into our Suntrekker many years ago with the vent and intake going through the floor but just behind the back of the pickup bed. Whether or not that would be possible with a Truma or Carver depends on your camper's layout of course.

Interesting thought Martin, putting it right at the back; it might be possible! I'm 200 miles way from it at the moment, so can't take a look until next week

So is the inlet to be on the underside for cosmetic reasons what would happen though (thinking it through here) if you had camper mounted on truck?
