Modification in a Skarosser 8l/ part two/ the kitchen

Postby PB Camper » August 24th, 2015, 8:20 pm

I hated the 'tunnel feeling' while entering my Nordstar 8L. So a friend and I mentioned about a solution to this problem...
We've got a wide, open space with a big kitchen!

That's what i'm planning on mine. Get rid of the wardrobe and make space for an oven/hob combo. Did you have to source any extra cabinet materials or did you manage to make do with repurposing the original stuff?

Looks a very neat conversion and does alleviate the corridor type impression as you look in

Well done PB

Thank for the praise

I did not need extra material, except the worktop. I have bought a coated chipboard with a thicknes of 28 mm, specially for kitchen.
The other material i've used is the rest of the old doors from the cabinet.
Perhaps we'll see you in Branscombe? There you can see it live and colour ;)

To me that modification looks a good compromise with talk of the newer side door models in a way i think i prefer it actually, and as someone mentioned before it works in any country on either side of road
