Hoisting was far less complex in my youth.

PB says as you clamber up into now middle of bed, you drop the cushion into drawer unit and get beneath duvet,
what we can't see is how the actual bed sheet is
A; in place before you start
B; doesn't sag down between drawers onto table below

I've been looking for an image of a bed 'made up' but everything I've seen so far is matress & pull out cushions only,

no bedding

Sorry, i'm not sure that i understood it right?!

The bed sheet is the original size 1.40x2.00. On the cushions is no sheet.

suppose then the only way to truly get that longwise sleeping position is either buy that shaped camper, or devide a shelf either fixed or temporary turn the mattresss about but then it would be in the way in normal use as a camper

Well the work needed would offer a lot more space, but we aren't sure that alone is worth the effort and we'd like to see one and how it works before going ahead.

Great Dorset Steam Fair

I've been there in 2007 and it was an amazing show. Like to visit it again...

Just clocked this thread on your bed conversion. As regards the GDSF, there's also a really good Steam Rally in Somerset, and you get the bonus of The West Somerset Railway. http://www.steamrally.org.uk/news.htm
