GOT TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT! (a sequel)

Yes, my Dad has actually been right all these years - I need to lose a serious amount of weight!

Before anybody starts reassuring me about my womanly assets, I hasten to add that the weight in question is on the camper.
We're down-rating the pickup to 3500kg GVWR, which, given its weighbridge weight of 2500kg, gives us a load limit of 1000kg, i.e. 1 tonne, for camper, contents, passengers, fuel, water and dogs.

We're taking the Coleman Mini Mach air con unit off, so that's (roughly) 40kg gone... we're taking the current oven/hob unit out, which will probably take care of the rest, but we're looking to reduce weight on board as much as possible so as not to run into sticky problems with the law in future.

So any suggestions from you guys about crafty ways to go about weight reduction in a demountable would be very welcome!

Maybe we should start a demountable weight-watchers group... :D - 3 points per 10% overloaded.

We're looking to uprate to 3500kg and we'll have a comfortable margin.

well its weight of vehicle as well isn't it, so is their a spare underneath, can that come off.
you have a gas conversion which will have added weight so you might remove the spare wheel in exchange

Alas, that was weighed without the spare, which has been sitting in the garden since the LPG conversion was completed. :(
