Is yours definitely an induction hob or a more standard electric ring? My understanding with the induction hobs is that they don't get hot which is one of the great advantages, especially in a small area, plus they are very efficient and the heat can be controlled very precisely. It works using a magnetic field to setup a circulating electric current in the pan itself so actually only the pan gets hot, the only disadvantage is that your cooking pans need to be ferrous metal, so you can only use cast iron, steel or certain stainless cooking pans, no ali or glass pans.

This is the type of thing I mean. http://www.johnlewis.com/tefal-ih201840 ... =232272858
They don't get hot directly, but the heat in the base of the pan conducts back to the glass surface, so it ends up quite hot and Defo needs to cool down a while before it's safe to touch.

Hi Zildjian, I'm still breathing :)

It is still on my drive where it was in the last picture... I did make a small bit of progress last week though, I fitted the locks to the locker doors..

I added the wooden frame underneath a few weeks ago to lift it up an extra 70mm.

I was hoping to use it this year... The clock is ticking...

Blimey, I can't believe its two years since I updated this and I still haven't finished it. It sort of became a place to store my tools on the drive...

I have done a few more bit to the inside. I made some new doors as some of them were knackered, plus I got rid of the 3 way fridge so I needed a door for the hole where that used to live and installed a compressor coolbox under the worktop. I made a bi folding wooden counter where the sink used to be and installed a new circuit breaker switch panel on the wardrobe.

I made a new box between the seats as the old one was crap and had a foam cushion made to fit on top, I put down some new flooring. Just a couple of small jobs to finish on the inside.

Next week I've arranged to have it resprayed, any suggestions?? I was thinking some sort of platinium grey maybe?? Anyone else any suggestions?

Wow, it's looking good Clive! Really sound move ripping the crap fridge out and replacing it with the coolbox - major improvement and much more efficient. Grey is good - I opted for that on my roof instead of boring white and still like the look of it.

Very impressed with standard of work on this.
Did wonder what ever happened in the end so it is nice to see progresses to paint stage

Not sure, I think would look better on something else. Like the look of the guy whos put his on the newish Hilux singlecab. Good job the sides are removable.. It might grow on me once its painted.

Thanks.. I can't actually believe I've had it so long and not finished it'. Pretty lax of me to be honest.
