Road test today I should have done it much sooner but it went well.
Feels much better than the Northstar, cruises nice at 60 but also well at 70, as it is fairly flat fronted I do get a lot of dead bugs but I didn't notice any buffeting and no bucking which I occasionally got with the Northstar. I felt more confident being narrower and went down some lanes that would have been difficult before .

I weighed it
2 people
25 ltrs of water right at the back.
1/2 tank diesel
Empty gas bottle right at the back
4 legs stowed

Front 904 KG Back 1473 KG
Max load for my truck
Front 1000 kg back 1750 kg Total max 2675

So this gives me around 300kg for stuff . If I ditched the legs and water I could gain about another 50 kg .

300 KG+ is a nice margin that gives you masses of scope there.

so where are you going first then? :)

Making a new slide out today, the prototype is ugly I have plenty of off cuts to make something less " boxy"
my method is to join the bits together with a hot glue gun on the outside, glass the joints on the inside then pick off the glue and trim/glass/fill the outside.

Just filled up with gas for the first time . I used Carvers in Wolverhampton , it is a builders centre . They have three rates 52p for public 46p, for taxi drivers and 28p for domestic . So I got 11.8 litres (7kg) for £3.41 as apposed to £20ish for an exchange bottle . What a bargain .

Perhaps Jim you could offer this conversion service to other prospective Suntrekker owners,

No listen,
its win-win they get a bespoke customisation, you get something to do in the Winter months

(Plus a warm readybrek type glow inside) ;)
