There is a superb wild camp just above the Westbury White Horse that we've used a few times now. Its the car park where the hang gliders and paragliders park and its awesome watching them doing their stuff. Some of the participants think that a demountable would be ideal for their sport. There's superb dog walking in the area too and good pub grub in the area. Never had any issues with parking there.

Hiya Martin. I was born and raised in sight of the Westbury White Horse, so I know it well. It's quieter if you go over the back of the hill past the barns. It's a legal right of way and it goes twenty miles or more to come out at Larkhill, 4wd advisable. We've found a better spot which we use when we're visiting Mum in Westbury, it's quieter, there are sometimes a bunch of hooligans up at the horse.

Hello, I would love to build something like this. You did a great job, looks good. How much did you spend to build this, and about how long did it take?

I didn't keep a record of the spending, but it wasn't awfully expensive. Funnily enough I am just getting ready to sell it now, complete with the ford ranger it was built for. It would make a very good low-cost start for somebody who isn't sure how much they would enjoy using a Demountable. It would have taken less time if I had a bigger shed or even a garage to build it in, but all told it was probably a good months worth of spare time working.
