Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Thanks Que ( Bonds gadget man ), Thanks for all the helpful information. It will really beneficial to get to meet you guys in Devon. Regarding the legs, we have tried lots of things to free them apart. Even put a rod in the tube and hit the rod, hoping to push the inner tube out, but it would not bu...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Thanks Zildjian, We paid about £6500 for the unit, just hoping this is not a waste of good money. Are the frames made of aluminium or just wood? I am happy to refit it out, but obviously I do not want a money pit. We are going to try and get to meet you guys in Devon and then hopefully you all can h...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Hi guys, Not a happy person here! I just removed the old microwave which sits up high near the back door. I then discovered the original backing/wall covering and around the edges it is soft and I can put my fingers through it in places. I think we was ripped off by the seller. I know we cannot take...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Yep I have one socket with the towbar. I notice the Apollo has two sockets, what are they both for? Am I best to run a strap down between the cab and the load area, then under the chassis and back up the other side ( between cab and load area again) then hook to the demountable? At the moment the wa...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

I will have a look at how the straps can go between the cab and load area. Also have a look which part of the chassis seems strongest. Trying to fix the legs now, I think the two tubes have ( inner and outer ) have got stuck with each other. Have taken out the 1 meter threaded bolt and stuck lots of...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Que, have a look at the front home page of Apollos website. You will see a black Navara double cab with the straps going into the cargo area.

That Navara is the same as mine, same shape...well part from mine is blue :-)

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Hi Que, Thank you very much for all the information. There is a lot for me to absorb. Our Navara is a double cab, not a king cab. It is a 2010 model. Sounds a bit worry that is might over hang too much. I contacted Apollo today and they was sort of helpful but have also put the sense of doom in! The...

Re: New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Hi Zildjan, Thank you for the responses. We live in Cambridge, Devon sounds good, but might be a bit too far at the moment. The bolt idea for the Navara sound good, although from reading the link you put it Sounds like I need to have some big welding done. Maybe a little to permanent for the present...

New member needs help with Apollo revamp

Hi All, I am brand new to this group and brand new to motorhomes and especially demountables. Yesterday we bought a used Apollo which needs a bit of TLC and replacing bits here and there. I will hopefully add some photos and ask questions, which I hope you guys can help. This is the Apollo we have b...
