Re: Apollo Demountable internal height
Hi, we're just south of Weston Super Mare. We have an Apollo on an Amarok, had to put a frame in the truck bed to raise the camper up as the cab is higher than most. Bookend mentioned a manual winder for the electric powered legs but on our older model (around 2004 we think) we don't have this so we...

Re: Honestly 1&1 WTF?
I was halfway through a post this morning and it asked me to log in again. Lost everything. Luckily I'd copied and pasted before trying to post. All in vain as it's now disappeared anyway.

Re: Need to lose some weight/re-plating vehicle
From Gareth Marsh at SV Tech by email: "After registration, the DVLA only have access to changing data recorded in section 7. This is quite correct, and it is only the revenue weight that gets amended." I phoned Gareth. I am not the first to query this. DVLA CANNOT change anything on the V5 apart f...

Re: The great 55 day turnaround that SV tech offer folks
Just called the DVLA to chase up the V5 after 8 weeks and it turns out they updated the record but didn't bother sending the certificate. Hopefully it will be here by the end of next week. Another excellent service, not

Re: New Pickup news
I'm not sure how this link suspension would cope with a load such as a demountable... I guess it might cause more porpoising. Where/how to fit the airbags? It might make for a more comfortable ride generally but chassis protection is important.

Re: New Pickup news
And pray tell, what is the max load on the coil suspension? I can't recall the exact weight limit on the rear axle. I think the payload was around 1070kg..ish. That's if my memory is working correctly  I did ask if the chassis was a new design and if it was stronger than the old model. Unfort...

Re: Hello:-) from Reading.
Hi from Somerset. We have an Amarok with Apollo. We've had to fit a frame in the truck bed to raise the camper up due to the Amarok having a taller cab and tub sides than most, so this might be worth keeping in mind when looking around. Whilst we did have a damp/rot issue, it was due to unrepaired a...
