Re: Solar panels
I'm just having a look at my solar needs and am eventually looking at swapping the 50w that came with the unit for a couple of 100w flexi panels and combine it with a couple of batteries. My question is could I remove the current panel and use the already in place wiring to hook up a new panel? I re...

Re: Insurance
I've finally got around to insuring the new unit - I only seemed to remember about it when I was half way on a long drive. After reading this thread I went with http://www.crusaderinsurance.co.uk/ as I already have the truck insured with Aviva. I told them I would use it to travel to jobs with but n...

Re: Need to lose some weight...
We've just been to the weigh bridge with the skarosser EC6l and a ford ranger - we came in at 2980 leaving a whopping 40kg for little me! Even if I starve for a month I don't think I've weighed that since I was 8… A full tank of fuel and empty of water means that the 40kg of crap I removed will be r...

Re: I Finally Got One!
I'd seen Poppi's work on another thread and it is very nice. Being a Yorkshireman though and having a Mrs that is skilled with a needle and thread it's all going to be done as cheaply as possible. I know, I'm a reet old misery

Re: I Finally Got One!
We'll post more pics once we've made the interior our own. Getting rid of the compressor freezer is the first job and then returning the seating to original.

Re: I Finally Got One!
Definitely not yours Zildjian, unless you are a retired Austrian couple a painfully long way away!

I Finally Got One!
So after an epic 4 day there and back road trip to Austria we finally picked up a Skarosser EC 6L. The Mrs has written a blog post about it so rather than my dodgy phone pics it is probably better to look here: http://vagabondbaker.com/2015/04/23/demountable-camper-home/ It had been for sale a while...

Who was at Ribblehead Viaduct on Sunday?
We have finally spotted our first wild demountable. Even our passengers who knew we were after one were really excited to see what we've been wittering about for the past 4 months. I've had a look through the Who Owns What List and I don't think it's anybody's here, no stickers either. Ford ranger W...
