Re: Trailer lights

I've just made up a new socket connection so I can plug the camper and my bike trailer in to my truck. There was some concern, at the trailer supply shop, as to whether the extra draw from the lamp bulbs would overload the system. Has anyone experienced this particular problem? I am aware that you c...

Re: Modification in a Skarosser 8l/ partone/ the longsleeper

I won't make it this year, due to work and I may well be abroad next year, so it'll most likely be 2018 before I get to go.

Just clocked this thread on your bed conversion. As regards the GDSF, there's also a really good Steam Rally in Somerset, and you get the bonus of The West Somerset Railway. http://www.steamrally.org.uk/news.htm

Re: RunAway 2016

Right, there's starting to be far too much organisation going on here. Debbie will ensure you're properly marshalled into your respective spots, so just turn up, eat, drink and enjoy. ;) :D

Re: RunAway (X-spaces & power update!)

We've just had a cracking weekend at Branscombe, a tad wet before Friday's arrival, but dry for the important bits. It was cool in the evenings, but everyone had a fantastic weekend on the airfield site. More of the same and a bit warmer would be brilliant later this week.

Re: What are you up to?

This weekend, Sandy and I are heading out for our first run to this rather spiffing site, down the road from us. http://www.five-wyches-farm.co.uk This will be a shakedown run to try it all out and see what else needs doing or thinking about for future trips. http://s33.postimg.cc/6hcqabllb/supersti...

Re: Today I have mostly been...

Due to the water ingress when washing the camper, it had to come out, so it made sense to clean it all properly before refitting. I may even consider putting a larger one in over the kitchen area, which will give me some useful standing height... but that's another day.

Today I have mostly been...

...taking out my leaky skylight, cleaning it all up and will be refitting it tomorrow. In a previous life it had it done, but whoever did it just slapped loads of Dekaseal on, which was a right royal pain to remove. I've got some very nice Wurth Butyl Tape and a little bit of Dekaseal to do the job....
