Re: Scenic route ideas from Cambridge to Scotland
In Scotland you'll be spoilt for choice! I've stopped on Firemore beach near Poolewe quite a few times. There's an honesty box, I think it's around a fiver. https://goo.gl/maps/bPkurrhX9642 Street View shows quite a few caravans but whenever I've been there's only been one or two other people there....

Re: My Ranger & Suntrekker - Intro / Updates
Lots of positive comments :) The supercab was hunted out especially for the weight distribution aspect that you stressed on my first thread Steve, plus the additional advantage of extra storage space is always welcome. A single cab model would have been too limiting as even though we're trying to be...

My Ranger & Suntrekker - Intro / Updates
After months and months of flitting between a campervan, expedition vehicle or demountable I eventually settled on a demountable. Due to a change in circumstances, I had to pretty much half my 15k budget. I had initially thought I'd get a suitable pickup and then eventually a demountable when funds ...

Re: Outdoor shower ideas please
Have you looked at the 12v showers Jim? Only £15-20 on eBay and they work surprisingly good. One of those with a collapsable 10L bucket does the job for me if I'm wild camping.

Re: Do I need new batteries?
Thanks for the replies. There must be some life in the batteries as I've been running the water, having lights on and charging phones etc whilst I've been in there working, although I suppose the real test is a heavy load such as the fridge being on for a few hours. It's hard to tell the exact volta...

Re: Do I need new batteries?
No plans to install a TV, the fridge will be electric but from what I gather the compressor fridges use very little. It's an Indel B Cruise 42L which going on their brochure, uses 0.222 kWh/24h. I'll definitely be replacing as a pair, I understand it's always better to go for the biggest batteries y...

Do I need new batteries?
I've recently purchased a Suntrekker demountable (another topic on that later), and I'm looking for some advice regarding the batteries. At the moment there are two 75Ah batteries - unsure of make as I can't see any labels without removing all the wires and lifting them out which I've not got round ...

Re: Mounting camper to flatbed
It might be recognised by a few on here as apparently it was specifically designed to take a Suntrekker demountable.

Mounting camper to flatbed
Hi all, Hopefully an easy one! I have my eye on a pickup however the usual load bed has been replaced with a DIY flat bed. I presume as long as this area is wide / long enough for the camper base to sit on, and there's adequate mounts for the tie downs, all is well? I wasn't sure if it was the norm ...
