Just spotted this very compact demountable on ebay - well they say demountable - no mention of jacks and I cannot see jack points

Re: Simple step (Suntrekker, Hilux)
Hi Amanda, You did a great job there. I moved my Suntrekker from a 2wd HiLux to a 4x4 L200 it was so high the only realistic solution (witrhin my skill sett) was to lash out and buy a 4 step Tork Lift steps from the states. Then I discovered I should also have bought Stow n Go mountings - that is no...

Re: Shameless promotion of my little travel journal
Read it - loaded on my Kindle. Thanks I did enjoy it. Only criticism I thought you made a bit of a meal "hamming up" Bealach na Ba. We came over from Applecross in our little 1300cc Daihatsu Hijet with a Romahome demountable body and experienced no problems. Most in 2nd and third gear only occassion...

Re: Torklift in the U.K.
I have bought a Torklift GloSteps on ebay - a tortuous search sold to me by Truckcampers of Australia, shipped direct from Torklift Washington State USA via Ebay international shipping toatal cost with shipping £420.48. Here is a link to Truckcampers ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/truckcampers?_trk...

WHAT PROJECTS DO PEOPLE HAVE ON THE GO DURING LOCKDOWN?
Since the Lockdown began we have been "upgrading and freshening up" our old Sunseeker. The 1990s window has been replaced with a Seitz window - the same size. So externally it looks more modern :) Internal work has been painting the white surfaces - we did not want glaring white the answer someone w...

Re: Grey water
The Suntrekker is a very small camper so we do not have available storage space onboard for waste tanks, so we have a compact solution. I did not install the system the original owner did. Our sink unit waste is piped to the rear of the unit on the external rear corner is a down pipe at the bottom i...

Re: Greetings from Somerset
Not a bad idea actually, I'd like something like that Here is one place that produces them https://www.tradersupplies.co.uk/market-stalls-equipment/market-stalls-frames-only.html - if you can weld and have a mig welder it is easy to fabricate the sections, usually using 25mm square box section and ...

Re: Greetings from Somerset
Kath, Surely the solution is to be flexible. When you are working on the outside and require cover erect your tent, when you do not need the cover dismantle the tent. One answer might be to get some box section steel and make a frame like a walk in market-stall frame (you could buy one and extend th...

Re: Greetings from Somerset
Kath, Re working place - did you realise a carport does not need planning permission - OK open to the elements from the side but you could probably cope with that. The other alternative might be a caravan cover with a temporary frame lifting it clear of the demountable. When we had a tugger the brea...

Hi Kath in Somerset - damp meters are cheap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Damp-Meter-Digital-LCD-Moisture-Detector-Wood-Brick-Humidity-Caravan-Tester/392596309291?epid=2163347865&hash=item5b6890452b:g:E~wAAOSwTZ9d-ynz This is a guide to fixing damp - it is for caravans, but the construction is simi...
