Re: Mounting and Demounting
So have I .. that video makes it look so easy! The second time was as you say a bit easier, however the rear leg broke our friends gravel drive (with concrete underneath) with so much focussed weight in one area (the ol' stilleto and elephant conversation about force on an area), we punctured a hole...

Re: Mounting and Demounting
PS .. sorry if this has been repeated before but I did have a good look and I couldnt see any. I'm considering putting two marks on the cabin, shining a handheld laser measuring device similar to the below and ensuring that they line up and central. Mounting and Demounting
Hi All I was demounting and mounting the Bimobil last week, and the demounting was easy. Has anyone got any tricks of the trade in terms of mounting the rear camping unit. I really struggled to get it square and centre. I could either get it square or centre, but not both! I can see a bit of tech ne...

Re: Importing a Demountable - Our Experience
No problem all. We're just back from Munich and have picked up the other half of the combo which was the rear tub and glass fibre cab. Darren - you have a good eye for detail!, yes it has both the outside shower (helpful then you are a canoeist and boater!), and the extendable towbar (again helpful ...

Re: Importing a Demountable - Our Experience
Cheers chaps, I did promise this a while ago, but I've not seen any information all in one place on what you had to do and the pitfalls. Its certainly added to the spice of the adventure. Importing a Demountable - Our Experience
Our Demountable Experience. So we started looking at demountable about a year ago. We met Darren from Adventure Overland UK the distributor for Bimobil, and Jed (of Campervan Culture fame) at a few shows, and they gave us a tour of their Bimobils, which were absolutely stunning, but a new one was o...

Re: Jason Walker Nordic trip
Just a thought, on the article it says he is an expedition portal member .. why not put a post on the forum? II've had a quick look on there and there is no digital footprint for a "Jason Walker". but he may go of a different handle. On a different note, Overland Journal is tightly coupled with this...

Re: Man in the high castle
hahaha.. does the Fire USB require a wifi network, and can you stream it directly from your laptop. I've got an Apple TV and a Google Chrome, and both require a wifi network to connect too .. I do have a 3g mifi device, but don't really want to be chewing up data if I can help it.

Re: Man in the high castle
Do people watch DVDs when they're away, watch their laptops?, or have a 12v telly on the wall. I do fight with this, I love a bit of tec, but don't want a great big telly in the thing (and should be loving the outside)! In the syncro when we're away we generally just watched something on the laptop ...
