Re: New Member Questions
"nearly all of us drop camper off if stopping for a day or so" - Except me  OK, my camper is more awkward to get on and off, but even so, even if we are camping at the same place for several days we leave the camper on and like having it there. If we go kayaking or hiking or whatever, when ...

Re: New Member Questions
Hi, A lot of the weight of campers is fairly low down, so a pop-up camper might not make a huge amount of difference. A "hardside" will give more storage and be easier if you want to mount stuff on the roof (we regularly carry a fairly heavy kayak). Whether you can leave the tailgate on will depend ...

Excellent trip report Martin - and looks like it was a great journey too.

Parts for US campers
I need to replace the plastic trim that secures the glass windows to the aluminium frames in my US-built camper. I am aware of a couple of UK-based RV parts suppliers who I have used in the past for US components, but they don't stock the trim I need. Does anyone with a US RV have any suggested UK-b...

Very nice - from the video it appears to have the unique feature of allowing you to cook whilst sitting on the toilet.

Re: Ford super pickup
But for that type of door I'd need to own a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa with 'stanced' wheels to fit them to.Toshbins wrote:You can have vertical doors if you really want to look like a ****.

Re: Sign over pension fund here people
I don't think my pension fund is even big enough to pay for that. And that is far from the most expensive of these vehicles - there were some very impressive toys at the Bad Kissingen show a few years ago. Anyway, if I took something of that value around the world I'd be too frightened of the cost o...

Re: Isuzi D-Max
I'd certainly be interested in an Isuzu for my next truck. The numbers certainly look good (decent payload, good fuel consumption, decent power). Are they now a 1.9 litre engine? I also notice they do a extra-cab as well, which is a configuration I really like - extra storage space in the cab, but a...

Re: Replacement for a RM212 3 way fridge?
I changed from an absorption fridge (3-way) to compressor fridge 6 years ago. Absorption fridges are great if you intend to camp somewhere without hookup or solar power without moving your camper for a few days (don't drain your battery and are very frugal with your propane), but can fail if you try...
