Hello Alan welcome to the group, we are long time van dwellers looking to buy into demountable-world too

Re: Jacking up truck & demountable

if it helps the little bottle jack came with mine is stated on side as 2T max lifting weight and that sounds easily enough to lift the one wheel and load off the ground

Re: Door retainer replacement inquiry?

Last one we bought was something very much like these from Amazon but most of them look like this these days so you might not find another in metal like yours :( https://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Arrow-Motorhome-Caravan-Retainer/dp/B00P9K1KEQ/ref=asc_df_B00P9K1KEQ/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid...

Useful outside food prep area though well done, sometimes (fish) especially you don't want pervading the interior days after the cooking :)

Re: travelling with dog in the camper

Amanda's solution with giving dog use of car is generous but i think how we would do it too :)
as far as travelling goes though allowing it to ride in camper sounds alright, can leave a skylight open or window ajar for fresh air can't see RSPCA being overly worried surely

would be nice to hear how that project worked out in the end but i can understand the bother of having to stop and take pictures at each step
