Re: Allyback

My last truck had a flatbed and dropsides and it worked great, more storage space with the camper loaded and much easier to load / unload when the camper wasn't on the back. I looked in getting the new truck in the same way but it works out around ~£1800 from them and I couldn't justify the cost. Al...

Re: Grey water

Not sure if the newer models are different but my 750DL doesn't have a grey water tank, just drain holes underneath, one from the kitchen sink and one from the wetroom.

Previous owners used a couple of runs of hose and one of these.

Re: My Ranger & Suntrekker - Intro / Updates

Well the Suntrekker and Ranger has moved on to a new home up in Scotland. I sold it to a lovely couple who are planning an epic 9 month trip to Mongolia with it. I've replaced it with a Northstar 750DL and another Ranger supercab although at the minute I'm not convinced I've done the right thing! Ha...

Re: Northstar fixing points - advice required please.

Would also be interested in this - I've just purchased a Northstar 750DL and it's currently connected to the outside tub via Happijac (I think) fixings. However these don't look too sturdy, especially as I'm planning on doing a fair bit of off-road travel. I've read a few posts on here of pickup bed...

Ford Ranger Supercab & Suntrekker (now Sold)

Hi all, It's now time to sell my current rig, a 2003 Ford Ranger Supercab with 101k, and the Suntrekker camper. It's quite unique in that it's had the standard bed removed and a reinforced lightweight load bed to hold the camper. The truck has had many upgrades and modifications carried out geared t...

Re: Air assisted suspension on trucks

Do most people just fit the airbags to their factory suspension setup and find that adequate or do they combine it with heavy duty shock absorbers and leaf springs?

Hi Jon
I did take a second look & yes, there are no side shots. It also dosen't mention being De-mountable either but i thought it a good set-up.
Might it be a Tandy?
Mike
It's been up for sale for at least 2 years, I remember seeing it when I was first looking into purchasing a demountable.

Replacement Suntrekker Skylight

Has anyone ever fitted a replacement skylight to their Suntrekker? I believe there aren't any perfect-fit off the shelf skylights that will fit but I'm wondering if anyone's had any experience with this one - the website suggests you can trim the frame down accordingly? https://www.vwheritage.com/21...

Re: Difference in mounting

I have a flatbed on mine along with dropsides. The pickup was like this when I purchased it however there are a number of companies out there who will supply the full kit (flatbed, dropsides, lights and wiring etc) for around £1500. Budget another few hundred for fitting. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/...

Re: What to replace my rig with?

You really are considering all the options here aren't you, i can't comment on going up to what is essentially an expedition truck with 4wd, I might have the licence still but no desire for that fuel bill & running costs, pretty sure you'd be into next MOT band probably. On safer ground with Bigfoo...
