I forgot to update on this but a local engineering company sorted me out. I rebuilt the jack and it works perfectly.

It certainty sounds like the fridge. If your fridge has a manual changeover (Battery/240v/gas) switch it to battery. Turn the ignition off. does the light for the fridge stay on? I have had BFG All terrains on a number of Landrovers for years, generally exceeded 70000 miles per set so well worth the slightly higher initial cost. 235/85/16 on a Landrover 130.
