Re: Fitting a diesel heater or similar
Look up the technical specs for equivalent diesel and gas heaters. I think it’s just that diesel is not so volatile and takes more lighting. It’s nowhere near as much current as a starter motor but it can take some time for the fuel to light Before we renewed the batteries in the boat we would somet...

Re: Fitting a diesel heater or similar
We have diesel blown air heater in the boat and gas in the camper. The diesel takes a lot out of the battery in the lighting phase. OK if leisure battery is fully charged and newish. Gas fires up more easily.

Re: What are you up to?
Have bought pizza oven like Peaky’s.
Just finished trial run. Need to speed up on pizza prep - can’t make them and eat them fast enough to keep up.
Many thanks for pizzas at the group weekend - it’s hard work!

Re: Cracked & damaged bodywork repair suggestions?
Look up gelcoat repairs, usually on boats. There’s some step by step guides, although many are concerned with precise colour matching. A bit like cracked plaster, if the damage is just on the surface, like the star cracks, then it stands a good chance of being successful, but cracks that show up a w...

Re: Under-slung Gas tank Question?
Maybe. We already have a refillable Gasflow system, but the bottle isn't really big enough for a winter holiday. Our camper has the bottle in a locker right at the back, so we were thinking that an underfloor tank could be bigger, move the weight further forward as well as lower and then free up the...

Re: Under-slung Gas tank Question?
No. Further back than that. The tank is sausage shaped and about 20 cm in diameter. On our tischer there is an area of flat floor behind the pick up truck but in front of the waste tank that is big enough to accommodate the tank. Google Autogasleisure.co.uk and there is info there.
