Perfect - Sally is always saying that people always look twice at our camper as it goes past. Maybe this is the answer - sell the advertising space on the side of the camper :D

Re: Weight distribution

75mm does not sound like much, but unless you are using a camper on a single cab with an 8ft bed so its centre of gravity is well forwards of the rear axle, even that 75mm movement is likely to affect weight distribution and handling negatively. I always remove my tailgate - it is a load of extra we...

Re: Air suspension pressure (yours)

I agree with the above. It is not specifically the fault of the airbags, but their application that is the problem. My truck would sit slightly tail high unladen, but adding the weight of the camper levelled it out. I added airbags as belt and braces, but sort of regret it, and now run them at the m...

Re: Coming from a 'conventional' camper.

That's funny, I would have said that a conventional motorhome isn't a 'turn key' situation, well not when you have to drive it off a campsite every other day at least, to buy supplies or visit another town/attraction for example,....constantly having to put away the kettle, toaster etc and swivelin...

Re: Trailer lights

I've added an extra trailer connector to the truck so I can run both camper and trailer at the same time. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qci5bx8imaal6hp/20140222%20c2%20Wiring%20in%20extra%207-way%20socket.JPG?dl=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/6e4ssskw4ol2qf1/20140222%20c3%20Extra%207-way%20socket.JPG?dl=1 ...

Only if you sat down and worked out the MPG - otherwise it was fine

Glad I could use low ratio - wouldn't have fancied descending Stelvio on brakes alone :o

Re: Hello - Advice Appreciated

I have a supercab and am happy with the compromise. Gives me a really useful amount of storage space at the back of the cab (accessible via the suicide doors), but means greater load-bed length and importantly therefore more of the camper in front of the rear axle. When looking at campers think abou...

Only if you hit an overhanging tree at speed :o

One day we will and then I'll have to build something as a replacement - that'll be fun
