Re: Members Campers

Just noticed this thread, so here is my Contribution: We're in High Wycombe. We've got a 2007 Ford Ranger 2.5 supercab with a US-built Shadow Cruiser "Sky Cruiser 1". https://www.dropbox.com/s/ewwd3w899kwjcoz/20121006k2.JPG?dl=1 I can't pretend it is very well built or in any way insulated...

Re: Alternative eye hook mounting system

I like the U-bolt around the chassis. Not so keen on the smaller U-bolt that sticks out horizontally through the wheel-arch into the load bed. Strikes me that there could be a lot of force trying to bend that U-bolt upwards. Though I concede it is a lot better than just having that small U-bolt atta...

Re: What NOT to buy

Maybe you could get some contrasting coloured stitching running across and down the side of the camper - it would then have a sort of puffa-jacket finish.

Puffa-camper?

Maybe facebook did get sick of all those Land Rover pictures, but then again maybe it was the colourful climbing trousers that did it

Re: Toilet fluid

Does this help to break down the contents of the toilet too? Plus, is this less environmentally problematic than all that blue liquid? I saw someone once empty the contents of their Thetford toilet down a campsite's long-drop composting toilet. Depending upon what they put in the Thetford I guess th...

Re: Camper cooking

I can't help on recipes, but Sally cooks a lot of stuff before hand, like curries and ragus and vacuum seals it into bags that she then lays flat and freezes. They then don't take up much room in the camper freezer and just need to be reheated at the campsite.
