Re: Jacking up truck & demountable
Good question, I'm not familiar with the Ford jack in question but I would hope that it were designed to take say an extra 250kg at least. Depending on what camper you have etc, if you are only lifting one wheel/corner, that could be the amount of weight we are talking about realistically.

Re: Insurance for demountable
I recently asked my motorcycle insurance broker to use another underwriter, they had put me with Markerstudy without me knowing but after reading the small print in their policy and reading many other bad reviews, I didn't want to be covered by them this year. To be honest, none of these insurance u...

Re: Too much overhang?
It is the only pickup that I've ever owned so I've got nothing else to compare it to but I'm very happy with it.Silversprinter wrote: ↑January 31st, 2019, 7:25 pm

I agree Mike, it doesn't look quite right to me either, we did consider getting the 260 ourselves but went with the 240 in the end.

3. Will the likes of SV Tech and the DVLA accept/authorize the use of this kit before issuing paperwork to confirm that it's all road legal here in the UK?

Re: Tischer Trail 220 Bathroom Question?
What is it? i don't have a bathroom set up in my De-mountable. Hi Mike, I noticed that and wondered as well. I'm pretty sure it's the flush for the toilet (the blue button is standard on Thetford electric flush toilets) but I've never see one fitted to the side of the toilet like that. The small ro...

Re: The great 55 day turnaround that SV tech offer folks

Re: Multi tool (trendy)
For a tool that you would want to keep with you/in vehicle everyday, for emergencies, the non locking blade is actually a good idea legally, if it did happen to lock then you would have to have a 'good reason' for having it at the very time of being stopped/searched. If the Officer didn't agree with...
