Excitement and Trepidation In Equal Parts!
Well folks, I may have mentioned on our introductory posts that we intended revamping the interior of Max, our 1993 Dutchmen demountable... We already knew that due to a deteriorating front window seal, a certain amount of damp was happening in the front left corner of the luton. What we didn't real...

Re: how doo
What an epic saga! Just discovered rot in the front corner of our Dutchmen demountable, so we may be off on a yucky voyage of discovery soon... Just to say, when we did up our last two vans (Renault Master and Ford Transit Custom), we took all the ply lining off and put a layer of insulation in befo...

Re: Lozenge camper
CT1sounds like the proper stuff! Silicon sealant is a bloody nightmare the way it won't take paint. All you need to have is a bit of a smudge and - bingo - nothing will touch it.
The lozenge is going to be seriously cute.

WANTED Happijac brackets
Hi guys, I need some 16" Happijac Z brackets to mount my lovely as-new Happijacs on my camper... anybody?
Considering getting some fabricated by my local metal wizards if none forthcoming; it's still gonna be cheaper than importing the damn things.

Re: MizRaff & her Yank Tank say hi
Zildjian,
the LPG conversion is great, apart from the INCREDIBLY irritating aspect that it means we can't use the Eurotunnel.
Ferries are so expensive!
Our location: Hexham, Northumberland.

Re: MizRaff & her Yank Tank say hi
Deristrictor - American campers do come up in the UK, but us buying this one was a total fluke - we were actually looking for a Skarosser, as we were so impressed by their amazing insulation and heating etc... but they were all waaaay more money than we had! Beth was originally from Texas, and I hat...

Re: MizRaff & her Yank Tank say hi
Zildjian, Rob spotted Beth and Max on eBay in July '14... we contacted the seller and called in to see him (and them) as we happened to be passing Southport en route to the Midlands that week. We agreed a price immediately and put down a deposit, the rest to be paid once an LPG conversion had been a...

Zildjian,
I believe Max and Beth spent quite a few years (after being imported to the UK in 2004) sitting around on a caravan site in Eastbourne. They got traded in, and my sharp-eyed hubby spotted them on eBay

June in Derbyshire sounds like fun! I'm from Staffs originally so Derbyshire is like coming home.
Thanks for adding the pics for me. I'd forgotten how much poor Bethie sags when Max is on board... definitely saving up for some airbags.
