Re: Ay up from Derbyshire

Welcome Andy, there’s a Tischer owner near Bolton. If you can wait until June, you might want to come along to the annual “gathering” (this year) near Whitby. Re: Anchor point parts for Amarok

Hi, the majority of tie down options seem to be either ratchet straps, turn-buckles or fastguns. It’s recommended to secure to the chassis either via eye-bolts through the tub floor or outside of the tub, using chassis extensions. It depends on the camper and truck on the best soloution. Re: Upgrading to LED strip lights

We replaced the fluorescent lights in our Apollo. It made a huge difference in light output and hardly any drop in voltage. We went with LED’s strip lamp with two stage light output.

Your truck will have a VIN plate. This will show the maximum axle weights, axle 1 being the front. The gross weight of the truck and the train weight.

Re: Composite or Aluminum ?

Hello and welcome B. Having had both an Apollo and currently a Tischer. They are very different. The Apollo has a timber frame with a plywood outer layer with an outer skin (depending on its age) of aluminium or fibreglass. I believe Apollo now use a thin fibreglass skin rather than an aluminium one...
