Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Not fitted on another camper, but this is the stuff: https://s15.postimg.cc/wf9a9f0qj/Aluminium-stucco.jpg The surface pattern that Karosser and others use, which they call 'hammered' here, is much more expensive for some reason. The other nice thing about the stucco pattern is that it has a relativ...

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Major construction and assembly is still on hold for the time being (continuing dodgy weather and forthcoming family commitments) but progress has not entirely stopped. Spent a couple of hours this afternoon cutting the 'ribs' (twenty of them!) around which the curve of the roof panels will be forme...

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Ideas have come from the depths of my twisted imagination and from trying out dozens of different layouts in Sketchup. That relatively large kitchen work area earns me some brownie points though!

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Rain... I'm in the south of France for God's sake, it's not supposed to bloody rain! ... anyway, rain and the demands of life are getting in the way of progress on the build so I thought I'd offer up info on my proposed layout. Sketchup delivers the goods once again: https://s15.postimg.cc/6h5o3exu3...

'stuff about Demountables' rehosted alongside us here
Since 2007 anyone using Google to search "demountable", "camper", "truck camper", or related phrases, will probably have come across the stuff about Demountables website listed in the top half of the first page of search results. But now Google, in its infinite and tyra...

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Sorry guys, not a lot to report I'm afraid. We've been away for the last couple of weeks so the build has not moved much further on and I'm back just in time for an appointment for some gum surgery tomorrow (deep joy!) so may not get much done for the next few days either. I have received the jacks ...

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Took me quite a while to get into it and I'm still a long, long way from being any kind of expert. Some examples of what experts can produce are truly staggering. I found some useful tutorials on YouTube, particularly those by Matthius Wandel. It's taken quite a few hours but, having got the framewo...

Assuming we're talking about the same Steve, the EC8L is not just identical but the same one!
