Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Good weather continues and so I've been able to finish sealing the outer floor panel with epoxy - three coats on the face and four around the edges. Also got the outside of the lower side walls and the side benches faced with 5mm ply, ready to be skinned with the aluminium from DesignBleche. It seem...

Re: External Repairs - Rot :(
Definitely check on cassette doors and SKarrosser owners beware! The build quality of SKarrosser campers is generally really good but I found damp in our bathroom wall, fortunately long before any serious damage was done, and had to strip out the whole washroom to find the cause. It was a poorly fit...

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
At last a day that has been dry enough and warm enough to enable me to get the ply of the outer floor sealed. Having spent quite a lot of time exploring the wisdom of wooden boat builders on various websites and forums I'd decided that I would take the extra precaution of sealing it with a two-part ...

Re: As we browse the net we find these for sale
Before Loge Mobile went belly up, and before we bought our Leisure Camper from Golum, we did seriously consider getting them to build us one but they were just way too expensive. Seems like they're holding their price though!

Never seen anything like it. Definitely a Tischer obviously but I reckon it's an old 200 with the rear and side skirt removed.

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Finally we've had a couple of half decent days so I've been able to get down to the local builders yard to pick up some sheets of exterior ply and then to cut the outer, 10mm floor panel and fix it to the frame that I made what seems like weeks ago. https://s15.postimg.cc/x4s2lvogb/floor.jpg The tim...

Re: plywood base
Depends on the fit I guess but I voted 'no'. With our EC8L I made the loadliner removable and sat the camper directly on the bed - neat fit over the cab and the sides. With my self-build I'm planning to fix small 10mm bearers under the camper. They'll sit across the bed's corrugations and will just ...

Noticed the jacks are from Rieco-Titan, Garry. If you just want new clamps I can recommend contacting them. I got fantastic service from Deb Klir - deb@riecotitan.com.

Re: saDgit's flat-faced pop-top
Not sure until I do an experimental bit. Clamping with lengths of wood and ratchet straps while polyurethane (e.g. sikaflex) goes off. If I go down this route preparation of the back of the sheet will be the critical bit - abrasion and thorough degreasing.
