Re: Tischer VW Caddy MK 1 to break or restore

If you do decide to sell the parts I'd be interested in the front legs as mine are goosed.

Re: Tischer VW Caddy MK 1 to break or restore

Hi Andy, I've been rebuilding a Tischer 232 like yours for the last couple of years on and off. Mine was also like wet Weetabix but they are really simple to repair if a little labour intensive. I haven't restored mine to be original but it is now totally functional and I've just done ten days on th...

Re: How big is yours........

Hi Wayne,
Sorry I hadn't seen your post. Zildjian put me into it and said you might want a chat about rot? It's fair to say I've got some experience!
Also I'm interested in the frame that you talk about. Is it surplus to your requirements?

Re: Old Tischers

Hi Gary,
I'd love a brochure for my Tischer if you have one. What details do you need?
Cheers

Re: Mazda bt-50

Morning Richc. I looked at the Mazda when on my search too. My interest was based on a couple of builder mates who run them and have had a good few between them. Both swear by them and like me agree that even having a Japanese badge makes them more reliable than a Ford!

Re: camper tie downs?

Thanks Que and Zildjian. I've seen the torklift system and it looks brilliant. I think the cost might be prohibitive this year? I need to get to a point where I can try the rig for a while before throwing loads more brass at it sadly! I've got rear airbags in the back of my mind and I think I won't ...

camper tie downs?

Morning all, I'm approaching a time I need to be thinking about how to secure my camper to the pickup. I've got a turnbuckle set up thought through for the rear but would appreciate some advice for the front. If anyone is happy to post a shot of how their camper is held on to give me food for though...

Re: How big is yours........

I'm loving working on it and it's certainly keeping me busy. The cold weather and Somme like conditions even inside the CSI tent have hampered me a bit recently though. I think you'd struggle for height in this shelter Zildjian. The Tischer just nicely fits in and the roof folds. Also it's still at ...

Re: How big is yours........

Yes it was a bargain from Costco. 150 quid and although the windy winter has taken its toll it's really saved the day.
